Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied the claims of agreement

Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement concerning the claims of agreement between Turkey and SDF and denied the claims.

While so-called Euphrates Shield operation of Turkish Military Forces and FSA in Jarablus continues, there have been reports claiming that Turkey and SDF came to an agreement. International news agencies also covered this issue and AFP reported that the parties agreed on a ceasefire, based on the statements of Colonel John Thomas, spokesman for the US Central Command.

Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied the claims with a statement released today: “The operation will continue until the terrorist activities in the region won't threaten the citizens of Turkish Republic.”

Minister Çelik: it's not true

Turkish Minister of European Union Ömer Çelik said on a TV show: “The reports claiming that Turkey and PYD came to an agreement are not true.”
