Humanitarian aid from Armenia to Aleppo

The attacks against the Armenian neighborhoods in Aleppo have recently increased and Armenia decided to send humanitarian aid to Syria. The first plane carrying the aid arrived at Latakia.

Many people have been killed and wounded in the bombardments in Aleppo. People also died in Nor Gyuğ and Villa neighborhoods, densely populated by Armenians. 

On September 30, 5 Armenians were killed and 11 were wounded in the rocket attacks.

Upon the order of Armenian President Serzh Sargysan, the first plane carrying 20 tons of food aid has arrived at Latakia.

Landing on the Russian airbase Hmeymim, the plane was met by Armenian Consul General to Aleppo Tigran Gevorgyan. It is stated that the food will be distributed by the consulate general.
