Friends of Hrant: Until the real murderers are punished as they deserve

Today, public officials who are responsible for Dink murder are being heard in Istanbul Court House. Before the hearing that will last for 3 days, Friends of Hrant made a statement to the press: “Today is April 19, 2016. 9 years and 3 months ago, our friend is murdered. We are here to follow the first hearing of the joined cases. From the very first day, for prosecuting the real murderers of Hrant Dink, who managed to become a brave voice of conscience in this land of suffering, we have been pointing at some issues and they have just begin to take a look at them. We don't know whether just looking will be enough for them or they will see the bare truth.”

They are protecting the governor

Emel Kurma read the press statement on behalf of Friends of Hrant: “We don't know, because the public officials, who assisted, condoned and even instigated this crime, are being tried only now because of fight for power. The cases are joined and some public officials will stand trial. However, the highest prosecution organ insists on protecting the governor who was in office at the time of murder.”

Until all the accomplices to this heinous murder are called to account

“In these days full of blood and hatred, we miss Hrant Dink even more. We are here to shout out our demand of justice. Until the real murderers are punished as they deserve and unitl all the accomplices to this heinous murder are called to account... This trial won't end unless we say so."
