Dink case waits for the Supreme Court’s decision on which court should try the case that was opened against the public officials.
The indictment against public officials that was prepared as a part of Hrant Dink case is sent to Istanbul 14th High Penal Court. The indictment was returned by Public Prosecutor of Istanbul twice.
Cizre Police Chief Ercan Demir, for whom an arrest warrant was issued in relation to the Hrant Dink murder case investigation, has reportedly turned himself in.
In the Dink murder investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for the former Chief of Police Özkan Mumcu and police officer Muhittin Zenit on the grounds that ‘they had prior knowledge of the assassination and did not take necessary precautions’.
In the inquiry regarding public officials in relation to the assassination of Agos Editor-in-Chief Hrant Dink, former Istanbul Police Chief Celalettin Cerrah is currently providing his statement as a suspect.
