Armenia said “yes” to constitutional amendments

With the referendum held on November 6, Armenia said yes to a controversial constitutional amendment.

Yesterday, a constitutional referendum was held in Armenia. 

On October 15, National Assembly decided to hold a referendum for the constitutional amendment that was proposed by the President Serzh Sargsyan.

According to the initial results, 66.2% of voters (825.622 people) supported the constitutional amendment.

Armenia has 2.550.323 registered voters and the voter turnout is below 50%.
