Bombing attack in Istanbul Atatürk Airport: 28 people killed, at least 60 injured

After gunshots were heard in Istanbul Atatürk Airport, the explosions took place. At least 28 people were killed and 60 are injured.

In the international terminal of the airport, two explosions took place and gunshots were heard.

At 00.09, Istanbul Governor Vasip Şahin stated that 28 people were killed and at least 60 people are injured. He also added that there were 3 suicide bombers.

Ban on broadcasting

Turkish Radio and Television Supreme Council imposed a ban on broadcasting upon the demand of prime ministry.

A witness stated that two explosion took place after almost 10 gunshots were heard.
