Many observers and commentators familiar with the Karabakh issue emphasize the uncompromising stance of the Armenian side during the numerous negotiations held before the war that ended with Karabakh being taken over by Azerbaijan. This widely held view has little to do with reality. In order to shed light on the issue, I asked for an article to Karen Harutyunyan, editor-in-chief of the Yerevan-based news platform CivilNet.
