Decision of acquittal reversed in the case of threat against Agos
The people who put black wreath in front of Agos on April 24, 2015 and made threatening statements were acquitted. The Court of Appeals reverse the decision of acquittal on the ground that the statement incite hatred and enmity.

Detained on February 14, Die Welt Turkey correspondent Deniz Yücel is arrested last night on the charge of “propagating for a terrorist organization and inciting hatred and enmity among people”. German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated that the arrest is disproportionately harsh and disappointing.

Prosecution demands ban on İMC TV's satellite broadcasting
Ankara Public Prosecutor's Office sent a written notice to satellite broadcasting (Türksat) and demand İMC TV's frequency is suspended with the claim that it makes propaganda for terrorist organizations. News Coordinator Faruk Eren said, “This is what happened, while we are rejoicing the release of Gül and Dündar. The situation of the freedom of press and expression in Turkey is miserable.”

Freedom House: Global press freedom declines to lowest point in more than 10 years
According to the ‘Freedom of the Press 2015’ report published by the US-based watchdog Freedom House, Turkey retained its place in the ‘not-free’ category. Turkey’s negative score increased to 65, placing it in 142nd place among 199 countries. The global situation in terms of press freedom is also deteriorating for the media.

Following the church ceremony, a commemoration will be held for Baron Seropyan in front of the former offices of Agos.
