In Cizre province of Şırnak, a truck loaded with explosives exploded near police headquarters. Minister of Health Bekir Bozdağ in his initial statement said that 8 police officers are killed. Then, Anadolu News Agency reported that the blast left 11 police officers dead.
Security forces launched a wide-scale operation and sealed off the province. Upon prime ministry's order, a broadcasting ban is temporarily imposed.
