At 8.40, a massive explosion happened in Beyazit, Istanbul.
Istanbul Governor Vasip Şahin made statement after the blast. According to the governor, 7 police officers and 4 civilians were killed in the bombing attack. Also, 36 people were injured.
It is thought that the attack targeted a police bus, which was on its way to Istanbul University. The explosives were remotely detonated as the vehicle passed through the busy Vezneciler district.
