According to the information provided by the foundation management, the building's tin windows and concrete bell tower were restored to wood in accordance with the original, utilizing old photographs.
The board of directors noted that the pews in the church were given to the Kandilli Surp Yergodasan Arakelots Church, which needed them, while new pews were brought to the Beykoz Church. The mother-of-pearl altar in the church maintained by mother-of-pearl artisan Erhan Tanyıldızı.
The odzum service to be held on Friday, August 7, will be presided over by the Armenian Patriarch of Turkey, Sahak Mashalian. The first badarak service after the opening will be held on August 9, with hymns performed by the Feriköy Vartanants Choir.
The foundation management shared the following message: “After the opening, our community will not only be reunited with their church in this distant and quiet district of Istanbul, which they have never left empty to this day, but will also have an outdoor section they can use, especially during the summer months, for events such as weddings, baptisms, and youth organizations. As the board of directors, we will strive to use our renovated church more extensively and effectively for the benefit of our people.”
