The Odzum service was presided over by Patriarch Sahak Maşalyan, and attended by Archbishop Aram Ateşyan, members of the clergy, Surp Garabet Church Foundation President Rafi Kirkoryan, and members of the foundation's board. Speaking during the ceremony, Patriarch Maşalyan congratulated the church's pastor, Senior Priest Yeğişe Uçkunyan, and the foundation board led by Rafi Kirkoryan, wishing them success in their work. Following the conclusion of the service, a meal was served in the church courtyard. The foundation's board presented plaques of appreciation to the Saraylı Family, Mıgırdiç Sertşimşek, Varujan Bulgan, the church's Women's Guild, Garbis Seheryıldızı, and Zeynel Öngüllü for their contributions to the restoration. The first Divine Liturgy following the consecration will be held at the church on Sunday, July 12
Surp Garabet Church reopens for worship
Üsküdar Surp Garabet Church has reopened for worship following the completion of a lengthy restoration process. Odzum (Consecration) ceremony, held on Tuesday, July 7, drew strong participation from the public and Armenian foundations.
