An atlas of conscience against forgetting

This time, it was writers who spoke out: “We are here, ahparig!”

In the hands of 20 writers, the memory of Hrant Dink becomes 20 very different stories. “Freedom on His Wings: Stories for Hrant Dink”, edited by Gaye Boralıoğlu, explores the relationship literature establishes with the past, collective memory, and stories waiting to be told. And it reminds us: Literature cannot take the place of justice, nor can it undo a murder committed in the past. But we know that it can resist forgetting, multiply witnesses, and keep collective memory alive.
