Criminal Case Launched Against the Catholikos
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia has initiated criminal prosecution against Catholikos Karekin II, the Catholikos of All Armenians, and imposed a travel ban on him just days before a planned assembly of bishops in Austria. According to his lawyer, this step is an attempt to obstruct the Church’s international meeting.
