Patriarch Maşalyan Appeals for Support for the Restoration of İskenderun Church
Within the framework of traditional pilgrimage visits unique to the Great Lent period before Easter, Sahak Maşalyan, the Armenian Patriarch of Turkey, is visiting Armenian churches in Anatolia. As part of his pilgrimage, Patriarch Maşalyan attended the liturgy held on the "Name Day" of the Karasun Manuk Armenian Church in İskenderun. Restoration work continues for the church, which was damaged in the February 6 earthquakes. While the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will provide assistance, additional financial support is required to complete the restoration.
