Dame Sarah Mullally, who previously made history as the first female Bishop in the Church of England, has now taken office as the first-ever female Archbishop. The ceremony took place at Canterbury Cathedral at 2:30 PM local time on March 25—a day known in Christendom as the Feast of the Annunciation. This inauguration holds profound historical significance, marking the first time a woman has ascended to this position in the Church’s 1,400-year history.
