Vardges Surenyants’s masterpiece exhibited in Armenia for the first time in 130 years
Armenian painter Vardges Surenyants’s 1894 work “The Abandoned” is being exhibited in Armenia for the first time, more than 130 years after it was created. The exhibition at the National Gallery of Armenia brings together three of the artist’s monumental paintings and the historic church door depicted in one of them.
