Surp Haç Tbrevank Armenian High School has received "Level II Approved School" status from the College Board, the longstanding U.S.-based educational organization, following its application relating to university preparation programs.
The College Board administers the SAT, PSAT, and Advanced Placement (AP) programs. It is an internationally recognized educational organization that guides millions of students worldwide in preparing for university and whose programs are recognized by higher education institutions around the world. Following an application and evaluation process that lasted approximately one year, the school administration announced that the College Board had determined that Tbrevank High School's institutional structure, academic vision, and compliance with international standards met its requirements.
The school administration issued the following statement:
"With this approval, Private Surp Haç Armenian High School has officially earned the right to become part of the College Board's international network of schools. As a result, our school is now authorized to implement Advanced Placement (AP) programs, provide students with stronger academic guidance throughout the international university application process, operate as an authorized institution within College Board programs, and, upon meeting the necessary requirements, apply to become an official SAT Test Center.
Private Surp Haç Armenian High School is also the first Armenian high school in Istanbul to attain this status. This development is significant and encouraging not only for our school but also for the international visibility of the Armenian community in the field of education. We hope this achievement will pave the way for new international partnerships, academic opportunities, and shared successes for all of our community schools.
This accomplishment is the result of the vision and support of our Board of Directors, the determined efforts of our school administration, and the dedicated work of our teaching staff. As Surp Haç Armenian High School, our goal is to combine our long-established educational tradition with a universal approach to education, providing our students with opportunities that will enable them to secure a strong place not only in today's world but also in the world of the future."
