Two Russian Tourists Detained for Allegedly Reading the Bible in Hagia Sophia

Two Russian tourists were detained after allegedly "reading the Bible aloud" inside Hagia Sophia, which was reconverted into a mosque in 2020. The two Russians, accused of "inciting hatred and hostility among the public and degrading the public," were referred to the Directorate of Migration Management. The Istanbul Governor's Office and the Directorate of Migration Management have not issued any statement.
