Vartan Mamigonyan, an English teacher at Tarkmançats School, took part as a coach in the international basketball development program organized as part of the NBA Basketball Without Borders (BWB) event at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center.
Mamigonyan first took up basketball as a student. From 2019 to 2025, he continued his involvement in the sport as a coach with MVP and Açı Sports Clubs. He also played in the Rupen Semerciyan Basketball Tournament, organized within the Armenian community.
This year, Mamigonyan was invited as a coach to the 25th edition of the international NBA Basketball Without Borders (BWB) program.
The camp, held at the Basketball Development Center in Istanbul, brought together 80 promising young athletes from around the world. During the camp, Mamigonyan worked alongside Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson and NBA players Thomas Bryant and Saddiq Bey, taking part in basketball offensive drills and training sessions.
