Western Armenian conversation workshop at the Hrant Dink Foundation

Western Armenian Conversation Workshops, organized by the Hrant Dink Foundation, will begin on October 14. The workshops will provide an environment where participants can practice Western Armenian, expand their vocabulary, and gain confidence in using the language in everyday life.

The workshops will run for 10 weeks, every Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. via Zoom. Each week will focus on a different theme, with conversation practice based on vocabulary and expressions related to that theme.

The workshops are open to participants who have a basic knowledge of Western Armenian and want to develop their speaking skills. The registration deadline is October 12, 2026. For more information, you can visit the foundation website.

Instructor: Hrag Avedanian

The workshops will be led by Hrag Avedanian, who has been an instructor in the Hrant Dink Foundation’s Western Armenian Conversation Workshops since 2020.

Avedanian lives in Beirut. He completed a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in international relations at the Lebanese American University. He works in the humanitarian field, particularly on issues involving refugees and education, and is also involved in various arts and cultural initiatives in Lebanon.

Avedanian’s writings on the Armenian community have been published in various media outlets. He speaks Western Armenian, English, and Arabic fluently.
