Jarablus operation: a shield for whom?
Turkish Military Forces has entered Syria. The operation named “Euphrates Shield” started on Wednesday morning and the forces reached ISIS-held Jarablus in the same day. The night that unsettled Turkey: July 15
After the attempted coup on July 15, which left 204 dead and 1491 injured, a wide operation in state institutions continue; officials are either arrested or suspended. As of Wednesday, some 2000 people are arrested and more than 50,000 civil servants are suspended as part of the investigation reaching to Turkish Armed Forces, public institutions and judiciary. It is expected that the investigations, detentions and purge will go on.

Will such an era really start after this kind of a calamity? Let's hope it will. However, there is a good chance that an era, where capital punishment will be back, every opposing protest will be suppressed both by the state and “society” and lynching atmosphere will remain, is coming.

Coup attempt in Turkey
A group within Turkish military attempted to overthrow the government last night. The coup is forced back early in this morning, but the tension continues in Turkey. According Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, 161 people were killed and 1440 people were injured. He also stated that the organizers of the coup are detained.

Terror attack in Nice: 84 killed, 100 injured during Bastille Day celebrations
In Nice, during Bastille Day celebrations, a truck rammed the crowd gathered for the celebrations. In the attack, 84 people were killed and 100 people were injured. It is claimed that the attacker is a 31-years-old French citizen of Tunisia origin.
