Council of State demands plea from Prime Minister's Office about Sur
The objection against the urgent expropriation in Sur filed by Diyarbakir Bar Association Deputy Chair Ahmet Özmen is taken in the scope of urgent trial procedure by Chamber 6 of the Council of State. The Council of State demanded a plea and the documents about expropriation from Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning within 15 days.

348 votes in favor of the plan to lift the parliamentary immunity
AKP-initiated constitutional amendment for changing the Article 83 on the immunity of MPs is supported by 348 lawmakers in the 550-seat Turkish parliament. Second round of voting will be held on Friday.

Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) Chair Aram Hamparian sent a petition to the US Ambassador to Turkey John Bass on May 3. Signed by Hamparian, the petition is about HDP MP Garo Paylan who was subjected to physical violence during a parliamentary session on parliamentary immunity.

UN's call about Cizre: allow independent investigation
United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein made a call to Turkish government for allowing independent investigation on the grave human rights violations happened in the regions under curfew. Hussein stated that “the most worrisome” reports are the ones claiming that 100 people were burned to death in the basements in Cizre.

Twice-postponed Armenian Genocide draft will be brought to Bundestag's agenda on June 2. Green Party member and Vice President of the Bundestag Claudia Roth spoke to Agos. Reminding that Ambassador of Turkey to Germany Hüseyin Avni Karslıoğlu warned Bundestag about the draft, Roth said, “We don't accept it. “It is exactly on April 24 of last year that I fled Burundi”
101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was commemorated with Aurora Prize, which is one of the most innovative events of the year and named after Aurora Mardiganian, a genocide survivor who witnessed the killing of her relatives. The winner of the prize that was granted for the first time is Marguerite Barankitse (Maggy), who saved hundreds of orphans' lives during the civil war in Burundi.

Today, in Agos' archive, there is the story of 2 Armenian deputies who were killed in 1915. They are two of the seven deputies that HDP MP Garo Paylan brought to the parliament's agenda by his demand for investigation. Friends of Hrant: Until the real murderers are punished as they deserve
Today, public officials who are responsible for Dink murder are being heard. Before the trial, Friends of Hrant made a statement to the press. It is stated that the public officials stand trial because of “fight for power” and the highest prosecution organ insists on protecting the governor who was in office at the time of murder.

Supreme Court's insistance on investigation against Muammer Güler
A permit was requested for starting an investigation against former Minister of Interior Muammer Güler, who was the governor of Istanbul when Hrant Dink was murdered, and Ministry of Interior declined this request by deciding “not to put it in process”. Supreme Court Prosecutor's Office objected to the decision of Ministry of Interior.
