Fellows knowing and introducing Turkey by producing
Hrant Dink Foundation's Turkey-Armenia fellowship program sponsored by the EU encourages the professionals from the neighboring country to form cross-border cooperation networks since 2014. In an excavation work in Harput province of Elazığ, a 165-years-old Armenian inscription is found. It is thought to be a tombstone and deciphering works continue.

Ayhan Bilgen, spokesperson of HDP, stated that 237 HDP officials have been detained in simultaneous operations carried out this morning. He also said that HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş had heart spasm on Saturday and he is denied healthcare services in prison.

A year without Tahir Elçi
It has been almost a year since lawyer Tahir Elçi was murdered. He was the chair of Diyarbakir Bar Association and a human rights defender who devoted his life to solving the unidentified murders. The investigation file was issued months after the murder and the investigating prosecutor of the case had been changed for 3 times. Still, there is no progress in the investigation.

Christian heritage under the ground waits to be explored
Ali Yamaş and Bülent Erdem are engaged in caving. They have a cave research group called “Obruk” (sink-hole). We wanted to talk to two experienced cavers about the works in this field. However, we found ourselves talking about the underground cities in Turkey. They say that there are many underground cities that were built by Christian peoples especially between 6th and 11th centuries.

“Mosul should have been ours” statement could be explained by expansionism
Mosul and the National Pact(Misak-ı Milli) became a topic of discussion once again. Recently, President Erdoğan said, “Mosul was ours. Read some history. Some people got disturbed because I mentioned the National Pact. Why do you feel disturbed by my history lessons? We are patriotic, that is why.” This statement made the issue a current debate once again. Prof. Dr. Baskın Oran from Ankara University Political Science Department is one of the most knowledgeable scholars concerning Mosul and the National Pact. We spoke to Oran about the course of these two issues throughout the history of republic and their reflections to the present day.
