Armenian Genocide memorial to be installed in Cologne

Municipality of Cologne approved the proposal for installing a memorial in the memory of the victims of Armenian Genocide.

According to express.de, the proposal for installing a memorial in the memory of the victims of Armenian Genocide was approved by the majority of votes at the municipal council that was held on Monday. 

Designed by Armenian society of Cologne, which consists of around 5,000 Armenians, the memorial will be placed in Armenian Brück cemetery in Lehmbacher Weg region and it will be in the shape of haçkar. The memorial will have a plate that reads “In the memory of 1915/1916 Armenian Genocide victims”.
