Explosion in Ankara: Death toll rises to 28

In Ankara, around the military residences areas, an explosion took place while military vehicles were passing by.

In Ankara, on Merasim Street which connects İnönü Boulavard to Dikmen Street, an explosion took place while military vehicles were passing by.

It declared that 28 people were killed and 61 people were injured in the attack.

The Supreme Board of Radio and Television (RTÜK) imposed a broadcast ban on the explosion. 

Turkish General Staff: terrorist attack

“There was a terrorist attack against the military shuttle vehicles, while they were waiting at stoplights.”

Ministry of Health also made a statement, but hasn’t shared any information on the casualties. It is stated that 32 ambulances were transferred to the explosion scene.

Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ stated that the explosion caused by a car loaded with explosives.
